“The evolution, in terms of implementation and success, of Artificial Intelligence in the predictive maintenance area, passes both through the construction of a virtuous ecosystem of data sharing and through the integration of AI with technologies like Blockchain and High Performance Computing (HPC)”, said Antonio Cerqua, GIS & AI Solutions Data manager, in a meeting promoted by AFCEA Armed Forces Communications & Electronics Association, Rome Chapter.

Recent studies predict that over the coming years, the influence of Artificial Intelligence in the aerospace and defense sector will be much greater than that of any other emerging technology.

“AlmavivA”, Sales Manager Roberto De Finis said, “was asked to bring its experience in the aeronautical field to the invitation-only webinar which offered an initial overview yesterday on the possible use of Artificial Intelligence in the military environment”. During the webinar, experiences developed both on an institutional and industrial level were illustrated. Besides predictive maintenance, there are many areas where quick changes are occurring based on AI techniques in defense and security: from aeronautical attack applications or digital defense in support of the development of complex systems, from runway condition checks to aircraft tracking detection, all the way to big data analysis and geospatial applications.
