AlmavivA at the Data Driven Innovation Rome Open Summit

The data culture is changing our society and our economy. The impact is dramatic in all contexts. The topic will be debated on May 10th and 11th in Italy’s biggest conference dedicated to the role of data in innovation: Data Driven Innovation – Rome Open Summit, promoted by the Department of Engineering of the Roma Tre University in Rome and by Maker Faire Rome – The European Edition.

Like every year, AlmavivA will take part in the debate among scientists and specialists of the various application domains. This year’s intervention will focus on the National Digital Data Platform (NDDP)—the new name of the DAF Data & Analytics Framework, introduced by the recent reform of the Digital Administration Code (CAD) —a national project involving AlmavivA with the Digital Transformation Team. More specifically, a solution will be presented to simplify the data search and analysis process by enhancing the APIs supplied by the NDDP, with a live demonstration.

The platform seeks to improve and simplify interoperability and the exchange of public data between administrations, standardize and promote the diffusion of open data, and optimize the data analysis and knowledge generation processes. The goal is to open up the public administration sector to the benefits offered by the modern platform for managing and analyzing Big Data: containment of transaction costs, improvement of the knowledge base for decision makers, and new intelligent applications for citizens.

The National Data Analysis Platform can already be used through the portal, published in the experimental version and viewable preferably with Google Chrome.

Following the keynote speech by H.V. Jagadish of the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor and the institutional greetings by the President of the Roma Tre University in Rome, Mr Pietromarchi, and the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Rome, Lorenzo Tagliavanti, the summit sessions will be opened by the speech by Italian Prime Minister, Giuseppe Conte, and by an interview with Luca Attias, the Extraordinary Commissioner for the implementation of the Digital Agenda.
