Smart, safe and kind: we are adopting the keywords of the Italian Red Cross, an organization AlmavivA has been working with on the blood donation front for some time. The company even hosts on-site donation days, although these are currently suspended as almost all staff are working from home.
During this health emergency, the Italian Red Cross is intensifying its efforts, working with intelligence and creativity to assist the population safely and respectfully. Anywhere and for anyone. We are joining its appeal to anyone who can give blood, which is currently in short supply within health institutions.
Every one of us can make a difference through our behavior: staying at home to protect the more vulnerable members of our community, helping older individuals, becoming a “temporary volunteer” to tackle the country’s many needs and giving blood.
“Blood cannot be bought nor can it be produced in the laboratory. It can only be donated.” By repeating the slogan that accompanies the awareness campaigns conducted within AlmavivA, we are highlighting the fact that giving blood is a small personal contribution that makes us part of a great collective force by helping to save many lives.
