SADEL houses the CENELEC TC9X WG26 meeting on cybersecurity

18-12-2019

Today and tomorrow, in the head office of SADEL in Bologna, twenty international experts will debate on the issue of cybersecurity during CENELEC TC9X, relative to Working Group 26.

WG26, of which SADEL is part, is involved in the drafting of the technical specification relative to cybersecurity in the railway sector. Starting from the IEC 62443 standard, which aims to guarantee the “safety” of the industrial plant, along with the confidentiality, availability and integrity of the data used, the WG26 provides railway operators, providers of solutions and system integrators with guidelines in the context of the EN50126-1 standard, which defines the reliability, availability, maintainability and safety of a system.

The mission of CENELEC (European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization) is to define regulations and rules to aid the development of a single, free and increasingly broad market for electrical and electronic products and for services.
