Every year, one month and a day after the spring equinox, the United Nations celebrate Earth Day. Today, 75 thousand partners in 193 countries are united by the hashtag #OnePeopleOnePlanet and many celebrities in the world of culture, science and ecology sign an appeal to change our way of living. “More than ever before” is the message at the center of the document that aims to increase the civil commitment to defending the environment and our health. Starting from the health emergency, which forces the day to be set up in a multimedia marathon that was opened with Pope Francis’ audience in streaming, five years after the Laudato si' encyclical.

Combining economic development and environmental protection represents a need that can no longer be postponed and it brings to the attention of all - from governments to private individuals - the need for responsible behavior to rationalize consumption also in terms of energy efficiency, as well as the need to minimize waste through the adoption of eco-compatible policies and behavior. AlmavivA has decided to set a strategic goal for the Group: to transform into a Green company.

This is a commitment that AlmaviVa reiterates on this International Earth Day, on which it wants to remember PlasticFreeGC, a great project that has been promoted since 2019 by the Coast Guard General Command, mandated by the Ministry of the Environment and for the protection of Land and Sea. Accompanied by AlmavivA, which has created an App intended to cultivate a new culture of sustainability among youth.
