The sixth edition of the only Italian event dedicated to the soccer industry has kicked off at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome. On the first morning of the event, several panels focused on the future of football, sustainability in the sport, and new revenue models.

“Technology can provide valuable support to combatting the illegal streaming of soccer games because it makes it possible to intercept and implement preventive actions against these criminal dynamics,” said Antonio Amati, General Manager of Almaviva’s IT Division, speaking two days ago today as part of the panel entitled ‘Illegal Streaming: Consequences for Soccer and Fans’. “At Almaviva, we combine the technology of our Joshua platform with the expertise of intelligence experts who observe online phenomena 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and track information flows related to illicit activities. In this way, it is possible to prevent criminal activity and, through dialogue with service providers, put an end to the distribution of illegal content in just 7 hours.”

The Social Football Summit continues to be the first and only international B2B event in Italy dedicated to the soccer industry. It represents an important occasion to share innovative content as well as to provide training and networking opportunities, thanks to the participation of industry professionals, managers, and decision makers who represent institutions, federations, leagues, clubs, brands, media, companies, startups, and SMEs.
