Fresh from the Malta Blockchain Summit, AlmavivA attends Blockchain Forum Italia on the 7th November and the Shipping&Intermodal Transport Forum on the 19th November

AlmavivA has just returned from the Malta Blockchain Summit, a Buzzing Show firmly oriented towards business and networking which took place over the first few days of the month on what observers call “Blockchain Island”. In a traditionally crypto-friendly national context, amongst the numerous talks dedicated to cryptocurrencies and legal issues, Giuseppe Bertone and Glauco Ciprari from the Distributed Ledger Technology Area presented the platform for privacy agreement management which AlmavivA is currently developing for one of the main metropolitan cities in Italy: the talk entitled “Empowering users to express consents or: how I learned to stop worrying and love the GDPR”, saw the sharing of ideas, methodologies and techniques on how to tackle the problems relating to the privacy of users and the management of consent, by working with Ethereum and ensuring compliance with the regulations set out by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Tomorrow AlmavivA will be at Blockchain Forum Italia, in the schedule for Milan’s Garden Talent Calabiana, one of the Campuses dedicated to digital innovator communities. Alessandro Mantelli, Head of IoT, Industry 4.0, Energy Management & EAI Practice, is taking part in a round table of experts discussing “The future of Blockchain: directions and prospects”. At the centre of the talk is AlmavivA’s vision for the evolution of Blockchain and decentralised applications, to bring the value of a distinctive approach into focus: real solutions, those developed by AlmavivA, with or without cryptocurrency.

On 19th November Blockchain by AlmavivA visits Genoa: Palazzo San Giorgio will host a discussion on the boost new technologies are giving the transport industry in the international geopolitical framework. Shipping is the definitive global business and the efforts of all operators over the last few years have been aimed at the digitalisation of flows, to make operations more efficient, less costly and less bureaucratic. This is the backdrop for the talk by Giuseppe Bertone, who leads the AlmavivA Distributed Ledger Technology organisation: “Blockchain, an opportunity for logistics ecosystems” will illustrate particularly tangible cases where the AlmavivA vision has been translated into solutions which, through Blockchain, successfully respond to various challenges in different market scenarios.
