Fondazione Banco Alimentare’s initiative returns tomorrow throughout Italy.

More and more people are asking for help with groceries or a meal, turning to the approximately 7,600 charitable structures located across Italy that Banco Alimentare supports through a network of 21 regional organizations. From the beginning of the year until now, 85,000 new requests have been received, making the total number of people helped 1,750,000.

Almaviva joins Banco Alimentare’s 140,000 volunteers in launching an appeal for solidarity: at one of the 11,000 supermarkets that are participating in the initiative, buy canned vegetables, canned meat and tuna fish, tomato pulp or puree, oil, baby food or formula, and any other non-perishable food items to donate to people in need.
