“Is Water Conservation Energy Efficiency?!”: the UniVerde Foundation Conference in Collaboration with Almaviva on November 21st

13-11-2023

Extreme heat and record droughts alternating with floods bring the entire country and all production sectors to their knees. The efficient use of water resource is an increasingly prominent and relevant topic that affects the entire social fabric of the country. The inadequate preventive actions of past decades make serious climate change adaptation and mitigation policies essential by providing regulations, measures, and possible incentives that can encourage water efficiency, perhaps modeled after the successful white certificates, for the sound management of our most precious common good, minimizing waste. In this context, water conservation in agricultural and industrial uses is strategic and would enable the emergence of new players such as water ESCOs.

These issues will be discussed at the conference “Is Water Conservation Energy Efficiency?! From White Certificates to Blue Certificates for Sustainable Agricultural Enterprises and Industry”, promoted by the UniVerde Foundation and ANBI with the main partnership of Acquedotto Pugliese, scheduled to take place on Tuesday, November 21st, at Palazzo Santa Chiara in Rome.

The event is organized in collaboration with Almaviva, which proposes solutions for the digitalization of water resources, thanks in part to the consolidation of the group’s products for the world of water utilities and irrigation and land reclamation consortia. This includes the digitalization of the network, the creation of digital models, qualitative/quantitative monitoring through sensor and satellite technologies, the analysis of data using mathematical models, the streamlining of distribution, and the detection of leaks. Massimiliano Evangelista, Account Manager and Strategic Sales Lead for the Territory and Environment, will participate in the discussion.
