How much can digital technologies contribute to making the healthcare system more usable?

Antonio Amati, General Manager of Almaviva, tells Secolo d'Italia about how digitalization is a key element of increasingly accessible and up-to-date healthcare.
“In Almaviva's vision, the public health model must focus on the individual as well as the security of his or her data, and telemedicine is a fundamental part of this system,” said Antonio Amati.
“Digital technology plays a key role in transforming the health and treatment processes, from the clinical and diagnostic aspects to the organizational and logistical ones, ensuring the flexibility of the system and freeing up resources.”
“Digital technology enables a new healthcare system that’s based on data and information, on the interoperability of systems, and on making services to citizens usable and accessible quickly and according to need.”

Regarding the National Telemedicine Platform, Amati said: “We’re proud to contribute to a project as important and strategic as this one, aimed at providing benefits that people can perceive in terms of accessibility, inclusion, efficiency, and savings.”

All of the systems implemented in regions such as Lombardy and Campania are characterized by the creation of digital assets that enable deep and tangible technological innovation. As with the new clinical record of the Lombardy Region and the Campania Oncology Network, which supports regional oncology centers in the delicate matter of managing and treating patients.
