AlmavivA Contact: no social shock absorbers can be expected without a recovery plan

Rome, 19 December 2016 – No social shock absorbers will be available without a recovery plan. This is a principle enshrined in the law, not the Company’s position, it is clearly set out in the regulations governing the sector.

The unions’ attempt to substantiate the availability of social shock absorbers refusing any agreement on a crisis plan, as required by the law, is totally unacceptable and merely aims to condition the Company’s responsibilities and distort the truth.

This attitude, if confirmed, would mean ensuring AlmavivA Contact’s failure and abandoning the workers to their fate.

AlmavivA Contact confirms that the viable solution to the crisis consists in the definition of an effective Recovery Plan as the only credible alternative to the reorganization process under way, aimed at ensuring the financial security of the Company, its necessary economic balance and the safeguarding of employment.
