Use case

End-to-end ticketing solutions for integrated multimodal, door-to-door, and user-friendly mobility

BACKGROUND

The influence of the PNRR has led to a strong trend, throughout Europe, towards an increase in public service and shared mobility, in terms of environmental and economic sustainability.

New sales channels

Almaviva Group, in compliance with the regulations specified in the Green Public Procurement (GPP) and the objectives outlined by the PNRR, has produced MOOVA solution for End-to-End Ticketing, a suite within the platform by the same name which is natively multimodal, multi-operator, and interoperability-friendly, and calculates fares according to the transportation type and product, allowing users to purchase all travel solutions offered by the system in a single digital space.

BENEFITS

The ticketing systems developed on MOOVA platform for URBAN MOBILITY make it possible to switch from a classic “ticket-based” ticketing system, which requires the purchase of a single ticket or booklet of tickets at authorized sales points or directly on board, to an “account-based” digital system, which involves the purchase of a ticket through the use of a prepaid card or mobile application, with the option of calculating the “best fare” from among the various operators involved.

This solution simplifies the lives of travelers, who can buy tickets more conveniently and quickly, without having to line up at authorized sales points. It also streamlines the verification process for transport operators, allowing them to monitor ticket sales and user presence on vehicles in real-time.
