The AlmavivA-led temporary joint venture has been awarded the Lombardia Informatica contract

AlmavivA - the leader of a temporary joint venture set up in partnership with Dedalus Group, Hi-Tech, KPMG and Bit-Media - has been awarded the Lombardia Informatica framework contract, in connection with a restricted tendering procedure, for providing the development & maintenance, assistance and support services, for process analysis and regional dissemination, in respect of the development of the e-health and e-government models of the Region of Lombardia.

Under the tendering procedure, three temporary joint ventures were short-listed – Engineering and Accenture, besides AlmavivA - which, in accordance with the framework contract provisions, may participate in the future specific tendering procedures called by Lombardia Informatica (an in-house company of the Region of Lombardia) over the next three or four years, for the delivery of development, integration, maintenance, support and training services, in respect of both the SISS – Sistema Informativo Socio Sanitario della Lombardia (Social & Health Information System of the Region of Lombardy) and SIR - Sistema Informativo Regionale (Regional Information System), which governs all the administrative systems.

This tendering procedure was a great opportunity AlmavivA could not miss and which, in fact, saw the presentation of bids by all the leading ICT services firms, companies and undertakings, which teamed up to set up six different temporary joint ventures.
A new form of tendering, not just with respect to the technical-administrative approach, but also very complex from an organizational and, above all, project-development-capacity-related point of view: the relevant specifications, in fact, required the advancement and presentation of a pool of ideas, projects, activities that can be used, in the future, to develop and improve the Region's information systems.
A tendering process the outcome of which could not be taken for granted.

To be included among the selected joint ventures is of vital importance for a business concern such as AlmavivA, which is committed to playing an ever greater role in the development of local e-government and e-health solutions, products and services, in particular in the Region of Lombardia, a region of key importance for the ICT development and evolution of the country as a whole.
