The speech by Stefano Capelli, AlmavivA's Manager for New Business Projects at the ENEA national workshop, dedicated to simulating the energy system

When planning a sustainable energy system, it is crucial in today's world to use computerised simulation techniques, which have been used for some time in the more sophisticated technology sectors (aviation, space, weather forecasting, car industry). This helps develop an understanding of ‹whether and how› an item, installation or complex industrial system will operate, before going on to implement it.

Stefano Capelli's speech entitled “Smart district, an energy model for regional districts” will focus on the use of Smart Energy Management (SEM), the platform created by AlmavivA to analyse, monitor and control energy consumption in buildings at the Smart Village pilot project at ENEA's Casaccia Research Centre.
The project won the “Smart City and eGovernment Prize” at the SMAU event in Rome for 2014 (see press release).

The workshop brings together experts and stakeholders in the energy sector and aims to present the knowledge available and ascertain the needs of decision-makers at the national, regional and local levels.
