The spread of the Internet, the massive use of emails, the increased number of online transactions and the growing use of the social networks have favored the Web circulation of huge amounts of personal data, at the same time exponentially increasing their vulnerability.

 

The first Cybercrime Conference & Exposition – which will be held in Rome, at the Cavour Conference Center, on 6 April 2011 – aims at further investigating the issues related to data security and to the struggle against cyber crime. The conference will be attended by top worldwide experts on cyber crime, from the world of institutions and information technology, who will outline the current situation and provide indications as to the future strategies to be followed, offering an overview of the actions and projects under way in this respect. The event will also be an opportunity to create a necessary link between all the stakeholders: government authorities, banks, insurance companies, IT security vendors, social networks, consumer associations and other e-commerce partners.
