AlmavivA attends the 2009 FORUM PA

AlmavivA the Italian Innovation Company will be at the 2009 FORUM PA as a partner of the "Premio Protagonisti dell’innovazione" award and the "Colloqui a scena aperta" public interviews.

The Forum PA event has now become an important opportunity for meeting and discussing innovation by government organizations and businesses. Central and local government are among the key drivers of the country’s innovation, especially by directing and networking the various protagonists within the social and economic systems, according to a more mature system of governance. Public-sector innovators, university researchers, competitive enterprises, local authorities which, often, do not communicate among each other and do not share projects or a common vision for development.

This year’s theme is “Better Government to Overcome the Crisis”, which means enhancing efficiency through ideas. Small and large ideas to increase the quality of services to the public, to cut down costs and improve cost-effectiveness.

Forum PA 09 features a large number of conferences, seminars, creative workshops, with a large exhibition space and opportunities for further investigation and giving awards. The four-day long event, in fact, should be “exploited” to the full.

The program includes:

    • a speech by Alberto Tripi, Chairman of Confindustria Servizi Innovativi e Tecnologici – the Confindustria branch of enterprises offering innovatory and technology-based services, at the Conference on the public and private sectors joining forces to overcome the crisis through innovation
    • a speech by Antonio Amati, General Manager and Head of the IT Division, at the Conference on the “Implementation and Development of SPC: normative and administrative profiles of the public-private relationship"

The development of solutions and services for government has become a part of AlmavivA’s DNA. For over 40 years now we have been supporting the country’s growth and evolution, first as Finsiel, today as AlmavivA, operating not just as a supplier, but as a partner too. And government needs vision, ideas and objectives in order to change. It needs the capacity to build projects and the determination to pursue them, and it needs the creative skills and leadership abilities of the people who work there.

This year, AlmavivA is a partner to the FORUM PA event for the Protagonisti dell’Innovazione Prize and is associating its brand name to the development of human resources, with respect to enhancing project development skills, either emerging or well-rooted in the economic, cultural and political systems. Today, phase one of the ballot for the selection of “Protagonists” by the Forum PA Community was completed and the finalists are about to move on to the last stage of the competition.

"The objective of this award – said Carlo Mochi Sismondi, General Manager of FORUM PA – is to help new resources to emerge, who are usually on the cutting-edge of innovation but not in the spotlight, based on the CV and their professional history. A goal which we would like government to support as well, having often called on them, from our web portal, to focus more decidedly on the wealth of the Web. Last but not least, a goal we would like the readers and participants in our online projects to support as well, by discussing with us on how to spearhead innovation in this sector".

In our exhibition space in Hall 7 we will be presenting the AlmavivA Group for e-Government, with an institutional clip and multimedia presentation, recently developed with the support of our resources at Communications, Service Line and Group IT, AlmavivA Consulting, IT and CRM Divisions and the Transportation Task Force.

Next door to our display area is the Sala AlmavivA, a room where we will be holding conferences and presenting books and periodicals on the subject, as well as the "Colloqui a scena aperta", a series of public interviews to the political, economic and social protagonists of this country, organized by Stefano Rolando – Professor of Communication Theory and Techniques at the IULM University in Milano.

We will also have a presence of the Defense & Security Area, within the framework of TechFOr, the International Salon for Security Technologies.

In AlmavivA display space, shared with Secom and Green Bit in Hall 6, we will present state-of-the-art solutions for Homeland Security and Homeland Defense:
    • surveillance and reconnaissance
    • secure communications
    • biometric solutions and e-documents
    • command and control
    • solutions for the administrative, health and logistics areas.
We will also be presenting innovatory solutions at the stands of many of our customers, such as INPS, INPDAP and Poste Italiane, for example, for improving the quality and efficiency of services for customers, the public and employees: cyber care technologies, artificial intelligence and virtual reality for communicating, partnering and involving, with a view to building a Government 2.0 at the service of the citizens.

    In particular:
    • INPS is continuing its evolution towards quality services: the needs and satisfaction of the public are the key focus of the pension scheme’s innovation process developed by AlmavivA
    • INPDAP will be presenting the Unified Communications platform developed by Almaviva in partnership with Microsoft (INPDAP will be the first government organization in Europe to have implemented a Microsoft-certified Web 2.0 platform): there will be a link with the outdoor mobile unit at L'Aquila, during the "Collaboration Web 2.0: the INPDAP success story" conference, which will be held at the INPDAP stand on 13th May, at 4 pm
    • Poste Italiane will be launching its Virtual Tutor in partnership with AlmavivA, to innovate the online training of its staff members.
