AlmavivA has won the contract, following a competitive European procurement process, for “implementing a Log Management solution for Privileged Account Management by Poste Italiane S.p.A.

The contract notice concerned the development of a “Log Management” solution envisaging the supply of the necessary hardware and related base/environment/application software components and services.

In particular, the “Log Management” project will enable the evolution of Poste Italiane’s current infrastructure, improving administrative account management security, with respect to systems providing critical services for the company’s core business, consistently with the directives set out by the Privacy Authority.

The AlmavivA solution integrates a Log Management and an Access Control system, in order to:
  • mediate access by administrators and privileged account users to a multiplicity of systems, such as servers, DBMS, network apparatuses, security appliances and application platforms
  • collect, analyze, correlate and store the logs and security events of the monitored systems, ensuring the completeness, stability and integrity of the logs, in line with the applicable regulations.
This solution will be introduced in the information system of Poste Italiane and interfaced with the logical access tracking systems, such as, for example, Identity & Access Management system or the corporate Active Directory.

The integrated Log Management and Access Control systems will operate in various geographically distinct offices of Poste Italiane, in synergy with the technological solutions already present there, maintaining their features of vertical/horizontal scalability, security and high reliability.

This contract, which closely follows another contract for the “Evolutionary development of the Identity Management platform of Poste Italiane", will strengthen AlmavivA’s presence in one of its client’s most critical business sectors, ICT Security.

This result yet again confirms AlmavivA’s capability to offer competitive and cutting-edge solutions on a very aggressive market, economically and technologically, while at the same time strengthening its strategic partnership role vis-à-vis Poste Italiane.
