La Sapienza University of Rome has set up the first “Faculty of Information, Informatics and Statistical Engineering” in Italy, which groups all the ICT-related disciplines and will become the “Faculty of ICT” within a year.

"La Sapienza University of Rome" has set up the first “Faculty of Information, Informatics and Statistical Engineering” in Italy, which groups all the ICT-related disciplines and will become the “Faculty of ICT” within a year.

 
The subjects offered focus on innovation in the field of Information & Communication Technology and aim at providing skills and professional tools in line with the market needs and demands.
AlmavivA has now become a Gold sponsor, with Telecom Italia, IBM and Microsoft, of "Master in Interoperability for Public Administration and Networked Enterprises".
 
The master’s program is also sponsored by the Agency for Innovation Technologies, which is a part of the Italian Prime Minister’s Office, and features four months of activities on the ground, on-the-job training in one of the partner companies or a large government body.
For the more deserving students, the program has allocated grants covering a part or all of the enrollment fees and the lessons will be compatible with working hours.
The deadline for applying for admission to the program is 10 December 2010.
