Protect the sea, support fishing communities. With Ogyre, Almaviva has achieved the collection goal which it set at the beginning of December 2023, with more than 1,000 kg of plastic recovered from the sea surrounding Santa Margherita Ligure, Cesenatico, Salerno, and even Rio de Janeiro's Guanabara Bay, because Ogyre is growing and is now active in Italy, Greece, Brazil, and Indonesia.

Almaviva’s collection activities with Ogyre will continue for another month, with a new target of 1.5 tons.

“Fishing for Litter” is a method of retrieving plastic from the sea that involves local fishermen in various countries. The collected waste is stored and brought ashore, catalogued, and disposed of correctly within the logic of circular economy. The Ogyre blockchain guarantees transparency in all its activities, from collection to lot assignment.
