Port&ShippingTech, the international Forum on technological innovation for the competitive and sustainable development of the port and shipping logistical system, will be held in Genoa on 10 and 11 November. 

The Conference, now at its third edition, is a leading event nationwide in the field of shipping, logistics and port cluster, with over one thousand participants, 120 speakers and a great deal of coverage on the national media at the latest edition.

The two-day conference will be held in the prestigious venue of the Conference Centre in the Old Port of Genoa, equipped with cutting-edge audio and video instruments, combining the atmosphere of an old building refurbished and improved by Renzo Piano and the state-of-the-art technological solutions and functionalities.

The aim of Port&ShippingTech is to showcase an in-depth overview of the projects and solutions concerning the new technologies for the competitive and sustainable development of the logistical systems installed and present in seaports. 

The conference will be attended by numerous representatives from the shipping world, who will be taking part in five specialist events tackling the four key themes of the conference itself:

 
• Sustainable and competitive logistics: policies, projects and technologies for developing city logistics and sustainable mobility in ports
  
• Green Shipping Summit: cutting-edge projects and technologies for promoting competitive and eco-sustainable shipping
  
• Traffic evolution: new market areas for the national port and maritime system
  
• Green Ports: new energy and sustainability for ports, marinas and maritime cities.
  
 
The Forum will fully develop into three elements that will establish a strong and forceful synergy the one with the others: conference events with an international profile, specialist thematic workshops and an exhibition area.
 
AlmavivA shall be present in the exhibition area and at the following conference sessions:


• Session on innovatory Projects and Solutions for promoting intermodality and sustainable vehicle transport. Speech by Fausto Legnini on "ICT solutions for the logistical nodes of the intermodal network".
  
• Session on Emerging technological and vehicle solutions and standards for the sustainable management and governance of an urban logistical system. Speech by Alessandra Raffone on "The smart distribution of goods in cities".
