AlmavivA continues to work as a technology Partner to the Internet of Things Observatory set up by the School of Management of PoliMI

The Internet of Things market in Italy is keeping up its excellent growth rate, totaling 2 billion euros at the end of 2015. Analysts are not yet talking of a “boom”, but they are commenting that all the elements are in place for a huge leap forward. The dynamics of the Italian market are in line with the development of the IoT abroad: although the analyses do not always overlap, numerous research centers have estimated a global growth of between 20% and 40%, the same range measured in Italy as well.

In its capacity as technology Partner, AlmavivA has continued to work with the School of Management of the Milan Polytechnic, contributing to the Internet of Things Observatory.

This Observatory, set up in 2011 to meet the growing demand of public and private businesses for the potential offered by the new paradigm of the Internet of Things, aims to investigate the real opportunities of the IoT, combining the technological and management perspectives, in an environment featuring a still rather blurry image of the state-of-the-art of the applications, the benefits involved and the evolution expected by the market.
