AlmavivA partners with the Master’s Degree Program in Infrastructure and Railway System Engineering of Sapienza University of Rome

For the third year running, AlmavivA has partnered with the Master’s Degree Program of the Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering, at the Faculty of Civil and Industrial Engineering of Sapienza University, Rome, together with Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane Group, Bombardier, AnsaldoBreda, Ansaldo STS, Roma Metropolitane and Ferrotramviaria.

The aim of the Program is to provide multidisciplinary scientific postgraduate specialization in railway engineering, by training qualified engineers to meet the needs of government agencies, rail operators, engineering firms, research centers and industry-specific companies.

The Master’s Program is open to postgraduate engineering students (in the degree classes specified in the application guide). Qualifications in electrical, electronic, mechanical and transport engineering are an advantage.

The Program, based in Rome and running from January to July 2016, will award 60 credits, comprises 12 modules, 150 hours of internship training at the partner companies and requires the preparation and discussion of a final project. Teaching is by the University professors and Managers from the partner companies.

Partnership with a widely acknowledged center of rail engineering expertise, such as the Faculty of Civil and Industrial Engineering of Sapienza University, guarantees the high scientific relevance of the Program, while the partner companies can ensure consistency with their business requirements and business culture.
