The CNR and AlmavivA group establish a Company for innovation and research in ICT

 

 

An important initiative for technological research and development was announced today at the FORUM PA Conference & Exhibition, by the Italian National Research Center, CNR, and the AlmavivA Group, a leading IT and contact center company.
 
The agreement concluded between the CNR and ALMAVIVA provides for the establishment of a joint company for creating an Italian Center of Excellence.
 
The objectives of this Center of Excellence will be to conduct the research and development activities needed to create new software or organizational solutions and to develop cutting-edge services for the ICT industry, and systems of integrated services for (central and local) Government, but also targeting public and private-sector parties operating in the strategic sectors of the country.
 
The CNR-ALMAVIVA Center of Excellence aims at developing innovatory projects in strategic sectors, such as energy, the environment and land management, culture and tourism, the health and transport sectors, by supporting and integrating highly qualified professional resources and competencies.

 

The new company, over which the ALMAVIVA Group will have a majority control, is an example of public-private partnership aimed at market-oriented research, through the normal channels of commercialization or through participation in public tendering at national and international level.
 
The agreement concluded by the CNR and the ALMAVIVA Group provides for the participation of other public and private, Italian and foreign, partners in the industries concerned, and the “La Sapienza” University of Rome has already declared its intention to join
