“EMEA Partner Excellence Award” presented to AlmavivA by Informatica

17-07-2015

Thanks to a project commissioned by the MIPAAF with the creation of a Single National Database for Agricultural Businesses

On the 9th of June 2015, AlmavivA received the “EMEA Partner Excellence Award” at the Partner Forum 2015 for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, organised by Informatica in Lisbon.

More than 50 companies take part in this event every year, which awards partners that have distinguished themselves on the market with innovative, high value solutions by leveraging Informatica technology and products.

AlmavivA won in the "Application Consolidation” category thanks to a project commissioned by the Ministry for Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies. The project is concerned with the creation of a Single National Database for Agricultural Businesses based on the application of Informatica Master Data Management solutions.

The project is part of the 'Agricultural Plan 2.0' promoted by Minister Maurizio Martina and aims to accompany the AP as it moves towards effectively streamlining the sector, by introducing a federated Payment Agencies database that integrates and makes all the updated information concerning agricultural businesses available on a national basis.

Compared to the previous situation - which was characterised by nine Payment Agencies with different IT systems and serious limits in terms of costs, quality, the thoroughness of the provided information and the speed of communication - the solution developed by AlmavivA allowed these systems to be synchronised. This thereby guarantees cost optimisation and the option of managing, in real time, information that is always complete and updated concerning more than 2.3 million Agricultural Businesses spread throughout Italy.

From a technological point of view, the project implements Informatica solutions to carry out the two-way synchronisation between the National Information System, the Ministry of Agriculture and Regional Payment Agencies, thereby creating a Master Data Management System capable of homogenising and standardising disparate information from different sources, allowing for the information managed within an advanced reporting dashboard to be used to analyse data and simulations.
