Information and communication technology plays a key role in helping to improve relations between the civil society and government, whose duty it is to fully implement the citizens’ right to interact digitally with the central and local authorities and to speedily provide for the full digitization of their processes and activities.

Alberto Tripi spoke on behalf of AlmavivA at the ICT-QR Conference organized by the City of Rome, held to illustrate the main indicators set out in the annual report providing an overall view of its ICT system.
The annual data surveys have been carried out using the methods already applied by CNIPA for analyzing the digitization progress of central government, which has involved all the local authority offices concerned.

Based on the awareness that the ICT infrastructure of a big city, and related services to the public and businesses, are the result of the partnering of government and key businesses and research institutions, the Conference will also include round tables attended by members of the business and academic worlds, with a view to fostering the identification of a process leading to the implementation of services suited to the role the city of Rome is called to play both nationally and internationally.
