A conference will be held on Tuesday 14 April 2015, to present the findings of the 2014-15 Research project conducted by the Internet of Things Observatory, promoted by the School of Management at the Milan Polytechnic. T

he Digital Innovation Observers at the Milan Polytechnic's School of Management represent a unique source of information, data and knowledge on the key issues of Digital Innovation that have been enabled by ICT. The Observatory proposes investigating the material opportunities arising from the Internet of Things so as to respond to the growing interest shown by both public and private companies regarding the potential offered by this new paradigm. Research has been divided into four areas: Market, Technologies and standards, the Internet of Things for the Smart City, the Internet of Things for the Smart Home.

The Research findings based on an empirical analysis of over 300 projects where the Internet of Things technology has been applied in Italy and throughout the world will be discussed with the main players in this market (Telcos, Service & Technology Providers, Utilities, etc.) and the main stakeholders in the areas of Smart Homes and Smart Cities. Included among the latter is Alessandra Raffone, Manager for Innovation Projects and Finance for Innovation at AlmavivA.

AlmavivA is also a sponsor of the Observatory.

The Conference will be held on Tuesday 14 April 2015 at 9:15 at the Carlo De Carli Hall, Via Durando 10, Milan.
