The “Città Educante” (Education City) project will be featured at the Italy China Science Technology & Innovation Week. AlmavivA, the project leader, showcases its achievements at the Città della Scienza in Naples, on 26 and 27 October

The “Education City” project – an industrial research and training projects with AlmavivA as the project leader – will be showcased at the Italy China Science Technology & Innovation Week, scheduled to be held on 26 and 27 October at the Città della Scienza in Naples. The exhibition will display the first results of the Project: the technology garden, a games platform prototype for students with learning disorders, a stop motion workshop and a TV video captioning prototype.

The official Opening Ceremony of the event will be attended by Mr. Wan Gang, the Science & Technology Minister of the PRC and Ms. Stefania Giannini, Italian Minister of Education, Universities and Research, as well as numerous other high government officials.

The “Education City” project, co-financed by the Ministry of Education, is part of the “Technology for Smart Communities” cluster, a nationwide network covering 9 regions and bringing together over 90 partners, including businesses, research centers and local governments, working together to develop smart communities. The project features new training approaches, based on cutting edge IT tools, the Web and the social networks, and targets all age groups. The project partners include Rai, UNIMORE, University of Trento, CNR, Fondazione Reggio Children Centro Loris Malaguzzi and 13 SMEs.
