The Port&ShippingTech Forum returns this year, on 29-30 November, at the Centro Congressi conference facility in the Old Port of Genoa.
The event will be an opportunity for the representatives of the principal public institutions and private companies operating in this sector to gather and discuss current issues. The Forum is dedicated to professionals wishing to exchange opinions on state-of-the-art technological innovations for fostering the development of logistical port systems, and the key themes debated there on this occasion will be:
The relationships between the Port and the City – The present and future of waterfronts and of regenerated port areas
Smart Ports – Projects, technologies and ICT solutions for the competitive development of port logistics
Green Shipping Summit – Projects and state-of-the-art technologies for promoting eco-sustainable maritime transport and for the development of the shipbuilding sector
Green Ports – New energy sources and sustainability for ports and maritime cities.
AlmavivA will be dedicating much attention to the 2012 edition of the Forum because, as from this year, it is the operator of the Genoa Port Authority's ICT Port System called ePort, managing the infrastructure – on which the ePort platform is based – at the Hyperced of Scalo Prenestino and providing the upgrade maintenance, required in connection with the further functionalities related to the competitive development of the port.
Therefore, we will have an important stand in the exhibition area and play an important role in the conference sessions.
In particular, at the session on “Smart Ports – Projects, technologies and ICT solutions for the competitive development of port logistics”, our speaker will be speaking on the following theme:
- The integrated management of information for ports and logistical systems, Smeraldo Fiorentini, Transportation Division Manager, AlmavivA
- Evolutionary guidelines of the E_Port project through the integrated logistical system, Giambattista d'Aste, General Secretary of the Port Authority of Genoa
