The Ministry of Justice and AlmavivA organize a Conference on "Innovative technologies for combating organized crime"

The Ministry of Justice (Department for Automated Information Systems), desiring to confirm its ongoing commitment to fostering conditions of safety and legality for the residents of the southern regions of Italy, has developed the SIPPI information system (the acronym of Sistema Informativo Prefetture e Procure dell'Italia Meridionale Costituzione della Banca Dati dei beni sequestrati e confiscati, the information system of the prefectures and police authorities of southern Italy, in connection with the establishment of a database of the seized and attached property and goods), selecting the most cutting-edge information technologies as a key tool in the struggle against organized crime.

SIPPI is a permanent monitoring system for the property seized and attached from the criminal organizations, of strategic importance in regions featuring a high concentration of measures for seizing illegally obtained property.

The conference shall be attended by representatives of all the central and local government authorities using and implementing the SIPPI system and database of seized and attached property.
The event is organized by the Ministry of Justice and AlmavivA, in partnership with HP and Microsoft, with the sponsorship of the regional government of Puglia.
