From 14 to 20 September 2015, Genoa will welcome the second edition of the Genoa Shipping Week, featuring a host of cultural events, conferences and meetings on shipping in various venues around the city. As the result of the merger between two important international events sponsored by AlmavivA – Port&ShippingTech and Shipbrokers and Shipagents Dinner – last year the Shipping Week recorded over 5 thousand guests from 40 different countries, taking part in 20 scheduled events.

The Port&ShippingTech conference-cum-exhibition has established itself as one of the world’s leading events for logistics, shipping and, more broadly, for the development of port logistics systems. AlmavivA will be showcasing its new cloud-based Smart Logistic solutions for intermodal transport. The solutions focus primarily on port logistics and have been designed to integrate with railways, the National Logistics Platform and the relevant supervisory authorities: the Customs Agency, Port Authorities, Guardia di Finanza, healthcare authorities.

Our mission at AlmavivA is to develop all-round solutions for meeting the needs of market operators and supporting the development of the Transportation and Logistics sector, which is one of the economic pillars for our country.

We have built up a longstanding experience in the management of rail transport and intermodal logistics projects, with specific skills and expertise in freight transport processes/lifecycle. The projects successfully developed by us as technology partners to Ferrovie delle Stato, UIRNet and the Port Authorities of Genoa, Ravenna and Taranto, have become milestone achievements for the further development of concrete and effective solutions for sustainable freight distribution, from origin to destination. The processes developed by AlmavivA also deal with urban collection/distribution, with a special focus on the complexity of the nationwide logistics system and the integration requirements of the country as a whole.
