Over the past year, the Italian digital market was heavily affected by the new European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). In the new digital innovation projects, the focus on how to collect and use customer data and what technologies to implement in order to protect such data are becoming increasingly crucial issues. If, in addition to this, we consider the growing overall risk linked to cyberspace, characterised by increasingly sophisticated attacks, we can understand the turmoil sweeping through the data protection technology sector.

This topic will be discussed during the conference to be held in Milan on the forthcoming 6th February, during which the results of the 2017 Survey of the Information Security & Privacy Barometer, promoted by the School of Management of the Polytechnic University in Milan, will be presented.

AlmavivA has been steadily collaborating with the Barometer, now in its third edition, which responds to the need organisations have to understand and tackle the new threats to privacy and computer security, by promoting the most appropriate protection measures. Amid the new scenario of vulnerability, AlmavivA offers to be the reference system integrator for its customers in defining strategies to effectively manage cyber security, in order to protect the business and information of public and private entities. Focusing on the main IT security scenarios linked to security and privacy-by-design, the AlmavivA end-to-end offer comprises the definition phase, integration of solutions and the provision of managed security services tailored to customer needs, based on the analysis of the risk and impact on the company’s organisation.

At the conference scheduled for 6th February, Andrea Mercurio – the Security Operations and Products Manager – will be intervening for AlmavivA.
