Quality of life and the well-being of the community at large are the theme of the eighth edition of Europolis, the biennial event showcasing regional development  technologies and tools for government authorities and town and country planners.

The 2004 edition of Europolis featured 521 exhibitors in over 55,000 square metres of exhibition space, with 43,055 professional visitors and a programme with over 60 conferences.
Infrastructure development, enhanced user-friendliness of public services, integrated mobility management, emissions control, upgrading of park and sports facilities and amenities, regional planning, environmental protection, regional conservation and the enhancement of the quality of life. These are the main themes of Europolis 2006, occupying a large exhibition area and scheduling a broad range of conference events.

Tele Sistemi Ferroviari – TSF, the Group company operating on the Transportation market, will be presenting an array of urban and local transport solutions in its exhibition space, focusing on rail-road integration.

OBoE – On Board Equipment – On-board technology for collecting data on the train and rail infrastructure and transmitting it to systems on the ground, where it is analysed, correlated, processed and displayed, to remotely monitor train progress and control train movement and to provide assistance in critical situations and emergencies.

PALMAS – Palina di Monitoraggio Ambientale e Sicurezza (Environmental and Safety Monitoring Information Display) – This is an outdoor passenger information system featuring the characteristics of a complete information centre.

MITT – Integrated e-ticketing System – Mobilità Integrata Trasporti Trentino is an integrated paper/electronic ticketing system developed for the Autonomous Province of Trento, one of the first local authorities in Italy to implement a scheme promoting the integration of intermodal ticketing between the transport operators in the province: Trentino Trasporti and Trenitalia Trasporto Regionale. The e-ticketing system – based on smart card technology and controlled by a central command and network control centre – assists the provincial government in its planning and control activities and the transport operators in planning, improving their services and encouraging demand growth
