The 14th National ASSTRA Convention on local public transport is underway

The three-day event promoted by ASSTRA, taking place in Rome, will end tomorrow: the National Convention on Local Public Transport traditionally sees a comparison of the best ideas and the most advanced suggestions in terms of mobility, to provide a concrete contribution to the prospects of a sector undergoing enormous changes.

The explosion of the digital world into the everyday life of people and organisations is actually radically changing behaviour, commercial relationships and the way products and services are produced and distributed. Public transport is fully involved in this revolution. Mobility has dissolved and has transformed into highly customised service packages that can be accessed via smartphone. In this digital age, local public transport companies are not only called to interpret strategies which move with the times, but also to anticipate trends.

Stefania Di Serio from the AlmavivA Transportation Division will be speaking at the dedicated session “Il Servizio 5.0: strumenti e tecnologie dell’era digitale” (“Service 5.0: instruments and technology of the digital age”).
