The digital revolution is a real breakthrough. Innovation springs from new technologies and new business models in the sharing economy, in particular “crowd driven” models, for bringing together and enhancing the collective intelligence.

Today is Innovation Day and the first public event promoted by the Elis Consortium on “Youth driven innovation” will be held, dedicated to innovation and new technologies, showcasing the work by the GIoTTO Universal Platform for Enterprise® Team, in partnership with the Elis working students.

The AlmavivA-Elis partnership is part of the BeDigital project aimed to launch an alliance for innovation at the country’s service, fostering the spreading of the digital culture within businesses. Be Digital strives to establish and develop a community of innovators, comprising businesses, digital innovation experts, startuppers, university professors and especially undergraduate and postgraduate and doctoral students from the best Italian and foreign universities.

At the Innovation Day, AlmavivA will showcase a technological project entirely based on the GIoTTO platform, for the smart and dynamic management of hazardous freight transport on roads, thanks to functionalities such as real-time vehicle tracking and the creation of specific routes, based on parameters such as the type of freight, the population density of the areas crossed by the routes and the type of buildings found along the way. Furthermore, the project envisages the use of Smart Contracts based on the Ethereum Blockchain technology, for both the authentication mechanism and managing the interaction between the devices and the platform, in a decentralized and constantly traceable manner.
