The closing event of “Open Italy”, the first sales accelerator for innovative start-ups – Monday 16th October

On Monday 16th October AlmavivA will be participating in Final Open Italy, the closing event of the project revolving around cooperation between large-sized Italian entrepreneurial companies aimed at valuing the innovation potential of start-ups. During the course of the event, the start-ups will be assigned job orders, the solutions of which will be included in the portfolio of the companies involved.

Open Italy was promoted by ANAS during its semester of presidency of the ELIS Consortium. The aim was to create a business development channel through the interaction and collaboration between Italian start-ups and companies.

The figures of Open Italy: 22 large-sized companies; 5 identified areas of interest: Customer Relationship, Predictive Maintenance, Cyber Security, Fleet Management, Workforce Management; 140 start-ups nominated by incubators, accelerators and venture capitalists; 30 start-ups selected by 32 judges; 3 Demo Days, after which 9 start-ups were admitted to the first phase, focusing on co-innovation; 8 weeks of dialogue between the start-ups and large-sized companies to test the solutions on an industrial case and develop a business case. The business cases will be presented next Monday during Final Open Italy, which will be attended by the GM of the AlmavivA Transportation Division, Smeraldo Fiorentini.

AlmavivA and Messagenius are implementing an innovation project in the customer relations and workforce management sectors to “improve the management of operations and communications during routine maintenance carried out by the RFI work teams active in the territory. The solution involves the introduction of an instant messaging tool integrated with the company contacts database and the instruments currently used by the maintenance units for scheduling and planning work orders”.
