The AlmavivA Award goes to the Night Monkeys

A record number of challenges with 11 contests for 15 promoters, vast participation with 200 guys and girls split up into 26 teams ready to go head to head with “code duels”: these are the main numbers of the fourth edition of The Big Hack – HackNight@Museum, the traditional event promoted by the Campania Region and organized by “Maker Faire Rome – The European Edition” and Sviluppo Campania (Campania Development), in collaboration with the “Federico II” University of Naples.

The setting for the programming marathon was the Saints Marcellino and Festo museum complex, a jewel of baroque architecture in the heart of Naples, where Alex Braga’s Artificial Musical Intelligence laboratory was also held yesterday evening, illuminating the Neapolitan night with experimental sounds and light play.

The Night Monkeys won the AlmavivA Award

“The visionary energy, the vitality of the ideas, the enthusiasm that come out of The Big Hack are life blood to create a future, promoting the digital identity of the territories” said Sergio Nicodemo, AlmavivA Digitaltec Director of Operations. “The AlmavivA Challenge of this edition, focused on sustainable development of waste management, is precisely in this spirit. As a historic partner of the Campania Region and as an organization that is deeply rooted in the territory, we consider the marathon to be an important opportunity to meet with young talent passionate about frontier technologies.”
