“UAE future agenda for digital transformation and smart cities”: Almawave CEO Valeria Sandei to speak this morning
The AlmavivA Group is taking part in the Italian sector's expedition to the United Arab Emirates, promoted by Confindustria in collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency (ICE), ABI and other Internationalisation Control Room partners, under the guidance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Ministry of Economic Development.
The expedition, led by Economic Development Minister Luigi Di Maio, is an important opportunity for Italian businesses to develop industrial, commercial and investment partnership openings, especially in view of Expo Dubai “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future”, which is due to run from 20th October 2020 until 10th April 2021.
The multi-sector Dubai expedition is focusing on Infrastructures, Energy & The Environment, Health and Pharmaceuticals, Agrifood and ICT.
The Group will be represented by AlmavivA’s Transportation Division General Manager Smeraldo Fiorentini and Almawave CEO Valeria Sandei, who is taking part in this morning’s session, “UAE future agenda for digital transformation and smart cities”.
In a period of less than 50 years, the United Arab Emirates, with its strategic geographical position at the centre of the main East-West trajectories and its plentiful reserves of fossil fuels which kick-started the country’s economic growth, has become a highly developed country with one of the highest standards of living in the world.
The governmental policy of the last few years has been aimed at stimulating economic diversification through the adoption of the Vision 2021 program, as well as the plans for long-term development in several specific sectors - UAE Energy Strategy 2050, UAE Strategy for Artificial Intelligence, Environment Vision 2030 and Dubai Industrial Strategy 2030 - designed to make the country one of the most innovative in the world.
