Digital for the ecological transition. Technologies are a precious and essential resource to carry out the green revolution: The Government has allocated 59.46 billion to this objective, under the NRRP.

Today on MoltoFuturo Antonio Amati, IT general manager of AlmavivA and Alessandro Mantelli, CTO of AlmavivA, interviewed by Paolo Travisi, talk about it.

“We interpret the implementation of the NRRP as the key step for structural growth, based on skills, innovation and long-term vision,” says Amati. “The strength of innovation does not rely upon a single technology but upon the ability to let technologies interact, to make the different systems interoperable to create a new architectural models and an ecosystem that provides for the collaboration of all subjects, public and private, involved in a sector, for example in environment or health”.

Several digital technologies interact to support and give impetus to the ecological transition.

“IoT is the fundamental tool to create an interaction between the physical and digital worlds. It is becoming an essential element for monitoring and automating some processes to make the two worlds communicate”.

“The enormous amounts of information collected by IoT cannot be processed by humans, and this is the reason AI algorithms are crucial. They will be increasingly a support to the processing of data.”

Some practical examples? “We are committed to monitoring and efficiency systems of the water network, smartcities and smartland solutions; to reduce the energy consumption of buildings and companies, pushing on energy efficiency through software models - energy management -, while for technological evolution in agriculture, we are using geospatial systems to analyze crops and land.”
