Giffoni Innovation Hub – Next Generation: Giuseppe Bertone to speak on July 26

Last Friday marked the start of the 49th Giffoni Film Festival, the major international event taking place once again to consolidate the Campania Regional Authority's cultural program, following the success and excitement of the Universiadi sporting event.

As is the tradition, Giffoni Valle Piana in the province of Salerno is hosting this large-scale celebration of creativity. It is also being combined with technology, through the work of Giffoni Innovation, the Giffoni Experience department that nurtures a research and development space for innovative projects, start-ups and cultural and digital businesses.

Encouraging the development of innovative mindsets, digital alphabetization, professional know-how and entrepreneurial skills amongst younger generations, as well as contributing to the competitive upgrading process already in operation within the market: these are the aims of Giffoni Innovation, the Hub that on 26th July will involve AlmavivA in a session dedicated to examining the relationship between Blockchain and the Media. 

Understanding what Blockchain is, along with its advantages and limitations, plus transforming a mysterious technology that is still yet to be explored into a new socio-economic paradigm with which to change the world, beginning with the Entertainment and the Film-making industry. This is the main aim of the meeting chaired by Mirco Pallera, CEO of NinjaMarketing, which will also involve Giuseppe Bertone, Head of Distributed Ledger Technology at AlmavivA; Marco Bassini, Fundamentals of information technology law lecturer at Luigi Bocconi University in Milan; Andrea Castiglione, Equity Partner & Blockchain Expert at EFFORCE; Massimo Chiriatti, Blockchain & Digital Currencies CTO at IBM Italia & MISE Blockchain Expert; Jacopo Genuardi, Vimove CEO & co-founder; William Nonnis, Full Stack Developer – Blockchain Consultant and Developer at the Ministry of Defense; Ivan Visconti, Information Technology lecturer at Salerno University.
