It is known as the hybrid multi-cloud and it promises savings in terms of data storage and lower PC and electricity usage. Aria spa (previously called Lombardia Informatica), the technological arm of the Lombardy Regional Authority, will be trialling it for the first time and has just assigned a 100-million mega-tender for the next five years to a temporary association of companies led by AlmavivA. It is a mixed system, with data from customers within the Lombardy Regional Authority (especially those in the healthcare sector) stored on various clouds from now on, so that there are no obstacles to operating systems. Instead of relying on a single provider, the Lombardy Regional Authority - with AlmavivA as an intermediary - will utilize the services offered by Amazon Web Services, Microsoft and Virtustream.

With a simple click, states Antonio Amati, General Manager of the AlmavivA IT Division, "a traditional model is shattered" to make way for a new one which anticipates the use of PCs according to the changing requirements of the customer base.
