The concept of “regulations” merges with that of “technology”, and compliance evolves into RegTech: Alessandro Mantelli, CTO of Application Innovation at AlmavivA, explores the marriage between technological innovation and regulation in an interview with QuiFinanza.

“It has been a few years since 2015, when the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) issued a call for input in the development of RegTech, or Regulatory Technology, at the time described as the adoption of new technologies to facilitate compliance with regulatory requirements. That RegTech, heavily focused on the FinTech world, was the embryo of a much-needed technological response to the increasingly voluminous and complex regulations put into place by the new regulatory framework established after the 2008 crisis.”
