Innovation as seen by the younger generation, where ideas and reality come together: Sabrina Annicchiaro, Giulia Valli, and Ivo Da Costa are the three winners of the Innovation Competition sponsored by ContaminAction University, a digital event that connected young people and businesses.

Medichain Education has won one of the two challenges which Almaviva posed to the students. At the heart of the project is the opportunity to support the healthcare industry through the metaverse, artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and augmented reality.

The proposed solution focuses on a new medical generation that’s ready to cross traditional professional boundaries. It includes, for example, virtual training classrooms that recreate complex scenarios in which to practice. This provides the opportunity for medical staff to: consult with and be assisted by other experts during practice, directly and in real time, without losing contact with the environment around them; use voice commands, for example during surgery, to immediately obtain information that has been extrapolated from every available source. and record operations in AR for use in the academic metaverse. These are just a few of the many new features which can be employed while fully respecting individuals’ privacy thanks to blockchain technology.

Many thanks to Antonino (Tony) Zanghì and Marco Neri, the mentors from Almaviva who accompanied the students in this experience.
