Linux and/or MS Windows System Administrator

Milan/Rome offices/Italy

We are looking for Linux and/or MS Windows System Administrators who will be responsible for providing system support in the design, configuration, and tuning of operating systems.

Required skills:

• At least twelve years in the ICT field and at least seven in the specified role
• Administration and management of operating systems, installation, configuration, customization/tuning, and management of UNIX operating systems (AIX, Solaris, HP-UX), the primary open-source operating systems (Linux distributions such as SUSE, Red Hat, Mandrake, Debian, etc.), and Microsoft operating systems, also in cluster configuration
• Customization of system files (i.e.: passwords, groups, hosts)
• Management of startup and shutdown procedures
• Analysis and design of information systems, packages, and complex procedures
• Drafting of specifications and project documentation
• Drafting of documentation and technical manuals
• Estimate of resources required for project implementation
• Project management techniques
• Integrated test design
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal skills.

The following certifications are required:

• SUSE, Red Hat, or other certification in a Linux distribution;
• Microsoft server and database (MCSE, MCSM).
