Almawave ranked among Italy's ten most innovative and disruptive companies, recognised by MIT Review Italy

Rome, 13 April 2015 – Almawave, the technological innovation company of the AlmavivA Group, is listed among the ten leading Made in Italy companies that have revolutionised the market. The accolade was received from the Mit Technology Review Italy, which was established by Alessandro Ovi and Romano Prodi, and selected the ten Italian “Smart & Disruptive Companies” for 2015. These companies were able to transform the market and challenge their competitors in the sector, thanks to their original ideas, capacity for innovation, technological leap or new business model.

“The objective that Almawave has set itself is to make innovation something tangible – commented Valeria Sandei, CEO of Almawave – by radically simplifying the management processes directed at customers and the public in order to constantly improve the services and products on offer. Natural language becomes the tool for conceptualising a completely new, easy and intuitive way of working”. Sandei continued to say that, “we are proud and pleased that our mission has been understood and judged to be disruptive by such a prestigious and acclaimed technology publication, associated with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, one of the leading research universities in the world”.

The scientific committee of MIT TR Italy was assisted by a panel comprising business leaders, industrial-sector representatives, university lecturers and journalists. The selection included medium-to-large companies, associations, universities and start-ups.

Almawave was established in 2008. In the space of a few years it has gone on to become one of Italy's reference players in offering solutions aimed at improving quality and efficiency in customer interaction processes and big data knowledge management. The company that is part of the AlmavivA Group is organised into specific Innovation Labs and Centres of Excellence. It has 8 offices (4 in Italy, 2 in Brazil, 1 in the United States and 1 in South Africa), employing some 200 young professionals.

Almawave's systems integrate the various emerging drivers of technological innovation (semantics, statistics, automatic speech recognition, adaptive interface) into a single platform to transform the way in which people work and generate quality information on management processes across all communication channels.

The award ceremony for the companies selected by MIT Technology Review Italy will take place on 20 April in Padua to coincide with Innovation Day.
