The digital revolution of the Culture sector

Technological innovation has brought a breath of fresh air to the culture sector. In fact, cultural heritage as a whole is at the center of a large and innovative digitalization process.

The Culture sector is currently undergoing profound changes related to the digital revolution, as well as to the emergence of new methods for sharing knowledge and promoting our Country’s heritage.

The PNRR for the promotion of artistic and cultural heritage

The PNRR includes a series of investments aimed at promoting Italy's artistic and cultural heritage, which is one of the greatest in the world: from artwork such as paintings and sculptures, to parks, monuments, gardens, historic villas, and other structures of significant architectural value.

According to ISTAT data from 2019, there are 4,880 museums and other such institutions spread out across the country: approximately one in three municipalities is home to at least one museum, archaeological site, and/or monument.

A heritage of inestimable value, which not only offers people the opportunity to expand their knowledge and culture outside of schools and universities, but also contributes significantly to our Country’s economy.
