The international conference of the Soft Power Club, a think tank founded and chaired by Francesco Rutelli, which took place in India, in the state of Kerala, on February 16th and 17th, was attended by Alberto Tripi, president of Almaviva, and Maurizio Taffone, Senior Director of International Markets for Almaviva.

The meeting, organized at the invitation of Amitabh Kant, the G20 Sherpa for President Modi, at the Technopark in Trivandrum, opened with a message from the President of Italy, Sergio Mattarella. “The reflections of the finest expressions of civil society significantly contribute to framing the processes of present-day geopolitics,” wrote the Head of State, “especially in a world torn by conflicts, indicative of a tendency to replace the power of arms, hard power, with persuasion and dialogue. In this context, characterized in many parts of the world by unspeakable grief, this conference contributes to the tenacious activities of those around the world who are committed to promoting international cooperation and multilateralism.”

Rutelli emphasized that "without India as a force for innovation and progress, there will be no solution to the world's crises and no hope for human development. Our Soft Power Club conference in Kerala, in the heart of the digital transformation of the world's most populous nation, speaks with the voices of its influential international members, from Italy the message of President Mattarella, the voice of our Parliament, alongside leaders of the cultural, technological, audiovisual and animation, and food and wine industries."

Alberto Tripi talked about digitalization and the positive impact it can have on society: "The digital transformation has formidable impacts on every area of the world we know and the one we’re preparing for. The technological process must be built with a focus on human beings and their needs, guided by an ethical foundation of digital behaviors and taking into account the effects these may have on the value system of our civilizations and cultures."

Maurizio Taffone presented Almaviva's solutions for the world of transportation and sustainable mobility, as well as the opportunities offered by the Moova platform. On the third day, dedicated to tourism, he presented the Travel Intelligence solution from The Data Appeal Company, a subsidiary of Almawave (Almaviva Group), to representatives of Kerala’s Tourism Secretariat and other institutions.
