“Night Before the Test: the Internet of Things at the Final Exams”: Almaviva’s Strategic Approach at the Final Conference of the PoliMI IoT Observatory

Our technological capability and our know-how, coupled with our position as a system integrator, leads us to focus not only on sensor technology, but also to push towards more precise analysis related to the territory. Typically, a sensor is part of a territorial context that, together with other sensors, even of different types, generates data flows and physical events that can be identified, modeled, integrated, and visualized on an interactive map, in order to facilitate the decision-making process.”

These were the words of Glauco Ciprari, Head of RegTech & Frontier Technology Lab for Almaviva, yesterday at the conference held by the Politecnico di Milano’s observatory dedicated to IoT, of which Almaviva is a partner, entitled “Night Before the Test: the Internet of Things at the Final Exams”:

“It’s important to have a strategic approach that makes it possible to extract value from data and leverage the knowledge derived from IoT and beyond, adapting it via SmartLand Decision Support Systems (DSS) that provide support to those responsible for large infrastructures or extensive areas, such as a region, when it comes to analyzing the current state of resources, issues, and potential developments. This helps to guide use cases and precise and timely actions in terms of optimization, rationalization, and automation.”
