Innovation in the healthcare management of the region Campania. At the Pascale Institute in Naples, computerized carts and cabinets in all departments.

Thanks to digitalization, safer therapies in the ward, proper management of drugs, personalized healthcare process, and risk reduction.

The Pascale Cancer Institute in Naples has adopted the FIDTHERAPY solution for the logistical management of medications, introducing computerized carts and cabinets. The project was developed with the support of Almaviva.

“This innovation,” says Ettore De Maio, Almaviva’s Sales Manager for Southern Italy, “ is the result of a collaboration that began with the tools made available by Consip for changes in digital healthcare. We’re involved as a key national player not only in the creation of a national telemedicine platform, but also with the individual local health authorities to ensure that data remain constantly available and that the administrative and bureaucratic activities of doctors and nurses are significantly reduced.”

The advantage of the system is that it reduces clinical risk through the flawless application of the '6R rule' (right patient-right drug-right dose-right way-right time-right recording). The entire process is monitored, with the drugs identified through barcodes and the patients identified with bracelets, also ensuring greater privacy. This approach improves cost management and monitoring of staff’s access to drugs and medical devices.
